Eventful Days Another week of army life is over for me..and it has been a fantastic one for me..you have not the slightest idea whatever that happened to me this week man..firstly,i have just completed module 1 of my bac..i took some aircraft and jumped off it at 1000feet..3times!!!!!!!hahaz...and i'm not one bit hurt..lolz..and i was the first jumper..can you imagine how scary that was??and i was the first jumper!!!lolz..like wth...first guy of the plane to jump...
during my first jump..my specs flew right off my face despite having those retaining hooks...it was 1000feet...the wind was super strong man..glide down...landed..recovered chute...went back to form up point..at the end of the day,like 3 hours later... i joined a 'party' which was in charge of removing all foreign objects from the dropzone like rubbish and hopefully my specs..lolz...and i found it myself!!!on the runway!!lolz..no plane ran over it..lolz..and it only has a few scratches on the frame..lolz...how lucky am i..lolz..
also..my friends who were the last few jumpers said that they were actually very reluctant to jump..especially when the door opened..but then when they saw that i did it confidently and positively..they also got the confidence to do it...lolz..i like some inspirational/ motivational/ confidence bringer...hahaz...
i had to wake up at 2 this morning sia...and i slept late..my bunk guys were just gathering around and chatting and decided to settle down about 8.45..i think i fell asleep at 9 then this army friend had to call me at 10 to ask me about my first jump..lolz..couldn't tahan so told him i had to wake early..and have been up since...hahaz...4 hours of preparation for less than a minute of flight time...
and so the week ends on a high note...i tot i had lots to say...but it seems so little that i have written..ok..i shall end of with the summary of my feelings of just parachuting...but really..you must ask me cos i can't describe everything here...it's that experience of a lifetime..i remember typing a post about first time experiences...hahaz..
my heartbeat slowed considerably when i board the plane..i guess it's me over-calming myself..then comes the command to stand-in-the-door..crap my heart stops momentarily as i feast my eyes on the breath-taking view of singapore...Go!..i kicked out as my heart when to my throat..the canopy deploys..ah...i'm safe and secure and comfortable..it's super fun and easy to maneuver the canopy around man..a short 30-40sec passes and i'm reaching the ground..ah..landed..no injuries..the flight was damn shiok..like an angel descending to earth...lolz...lucky me=)Willis Loy posted at 4/11/2008 10:31:00 PM | 0 comments
