Red Beret! to some people, it's just cloth..to some people, it's just the colour difference..but to me,it's a whole lot more...it's the things that i've gone through...suffered...firstly,there is airborne...then there are the numerous outfields and live firing...then there is brunei which even though i went through everything,more than what infantry officers do, i got no badge...those mini turnouts...and then the grand finale; 72km...we know we did more than 72 even...did like 75...cos was hills that we climbed too...more about my 72km...we did not do the conventional east coast park route...east coast route requires us to walk up and down ecp i think 3 times...it's flat and so much easier...but we did a new route...we actually formed a smile out of the singapore island...it started from chua chu kang..pass the chicken farms..muslim n chiness n christian cemetaries...ntu..nie..safti mi..upper jurong road..jurong camp..jurong bird park..jurong pier road..jalan buroh..pandan reservior..west cost highway...kent ridge..mount faber...shenton way..marina station..the very long east coast park...vjc...VS...changi coast road(along the runways of our airport)...changi beach..changi village...netheravon road..old pier road...and finally hendon camp...it was one helluva experience:)
